Savile Row
Savile Row is very well known for the bespoke tailors that occupy most of the buildings and have done for many years. The street has been branded 'The Golden Mile of Tailoring' and is the destination for people seeking to purchase a made to measure suit. These suits often cost in excess of £2,000.
For Beatles fans, a quick visit to number 3, Savile Row is a must. This famous building, in Mayfair, was where the Beatles' business, Apple, was situated for a few years. Many great artists recorded in the basement studio that was located in the building.
A very iconic performance took place on the roof of number 3, Savile Row on 30th January 1969. It was an unannounced concert, and was the Beatles final live performance together - 'The Rooftop Concert.' It was recorded for the Beatles documentary, 'Let it be' and was stopped by the Police!
Then, to enjoy more of the Beatles' Journey, you could jump on the Piccadilly line towards Chiswick to some of the locations that the Beatles used for their music videos or jump on the Jubilee line and within a few stops you'll reach the Abbey Road Studios.
