Piccadilly Circus
Central London’s iconic Piccadilly Circus, formed of major traffic intersection, open spaces and many notable buildings, including the Shaftesbury Memorial, Criterion Theatre and London Pavilion, is one of London’s most memorable tourist hotspots.
Serving to join Regent Street with the major shopping street of Piccadilly, the area is perhaps most easily recognised by its famous advertising billboards, dominated by many of the world’s biggest brands and dating from the early 1900s, as well as the Shaftesbury Monument Memorial Fountain which sits at the south-western side of the Circus.
Open hours
With such a wide variety of attractions in the immediate area, Piccadilly Circus has near 24/7 appeal, with many shops open until 10pm and midnight closures not being uncommon.
