Ham House & Garden
Ham House & Garden is a National Trust owned property located in Ham, just south of Richmond upon Thames and north of Kingston. Situated by the River Thames, this impressive 17th century residence was built by Sir Thomas Vavasour and given by James I to his son Henry Frederick Stuart, Prince of Wales. It later passed to William Murray, a strong supporter of Charles I, and became a focal point for the politics surrounding the English Civil War and Restoration. Today Ham House is said to be amongst the most haunted houses in England.
